It all started with Mothers Day, we had over 50 people booked in for afternoon tea. When we received the news from the government that restaurants must close the day before, we all felt very disappointed for all our customers who were going to miss out on their bookings. Therefore we came up with the idea that we could box up the afternoon teas and deliver them instead of completely missing out. Since then we have continued to offer our afternoon tea as a service ‘delivered to your doorstep’ abiding to the government rules with social distancing. This has enabled a lot of people who are celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, etc in isolation to make the day special considering the difficult circumstances, it has also enabled people to send our afternoon tea boxes as gifts and reminders that they are not forgotten and to elderly people who may live alone. We have received many lovely reactions and appreciation from family members who cannot visit their loved ones.
