Covid-19 Vaccine Update
NHS England have said that while more than 16.6m doses of the vaccine have been administered in London since December 2020, we are seeing an increase in the number of people infected and – in keeping with national figures – a rise in the number being hospitalised.
While there is a sense of relief that restrictions have been lifted, we do still need to remember that the virus hasn’t gone away, it is still a threat and it can still lead to hospitalisation.
Getting all three doses of the vaccine remains the only way to keep safe and minimise the risk of requiring hospital treatment if infected.
