Sidcup Library is reopening

We are delighted to see Sidcup reopening!

Two more Bexley libraries to open!

Two more libraries are set to re-open this week. Erith Library will open tomorrow (14 July) and Sidcup on Wednesday (15 July).
Restrictions will apply at both libraries. As with Central and Crayford Libraries customers will be able to borrow and return books using the self-service machines only from 9.30am to 12.30pm daily. Staff will not be available to help customers at this time.
Cabinet Member for Places, Cllr Peter Craske said: “I’d like to thank everyone who has been sticking to the new ways we need to use our libraries. We are in strange times – but if we all work together, we can get more and more of our facilities up and running again in a safe and practical way.”
Visit https://arena.yourlondonlibrary.net/web/bexley/home for more on the steps the service is taking to carefully re-open our libraries, and for information on our range of online services.
Please also keep an eye on the Bexley Libraries’ website for any variations to opening times. Opening times may change at short notice due to the ongoing effects on COVID-19 on the Council’s ability to staff and open libraries.
There are also a vast range of library services available online to members of all ages. These include free access to online magazines, papers and books for adults and children. This year’s children’s Summer Reading Challenge ‘Silly Squad’ is already online at https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/ and children can sign up and get reading.
