Todays Town Clean Up
On Monday 11th June Sidcup Partners Ltd supported McDonalds, volunteers and ward councillors along with the mayor in a clean up of alleyways and areas of the town not covered by the council.
We concentrated on areas around main road and the high street our next clean up will be in October in the Station Road area.
It was surprising and in some locations shocking how much uncontained waste and fly tipping we found.
Two large lorries took away the sacks of rubbish we had collected.
In addition it was distressing to see that the nail bar next to the Star Café had unfortunately had a serious fire and much of the damaged equipment was in the rear yard awaiting disposal, we helped by arranging for a special collection for the electrical equipment to be removed as this has to be recycled separately.
